Serenity Electronics Incorporated Testing Procedures

Material composition is the most reliable method to determine whether a unit is a counterfeit, clone or original.

This process requires one known unit from either the manufacturer, franchise distributor, OEM/CM or the composition sheet from the manufacturer.

Once this has been obtained, New Jersey Micro-Electronic Testing Incorporated (www.njmetmtl.com) can do a material composition comparison with the original unit against the proposed purchase device type.

Testing
Without an original unit or the composition sheet from the manufacturer the following will apply:

  • Delid one device type for each date code.
  • Comparison of die marking to case marking.
  • Manufacturer verifies date and lot code.
  • NJMet performs Group “A” on full quantity.

Possible Outcome

  • Manufacturer does not verify date code – send back to vendor.
  • Unsuccessful Group “A” testing – send back to vendor.
  • Date and lot codes are verified, successful Group “A” testing – ship to customer.

You can rest easy placing business with Serenity Electronics.
